Administrative Secretary - Building & Code Enforcement

The City of St. Clair seeks qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Secretary in the Building and Code Enforcement Department. Successful candidate will effectively answer calls and respond to a high volume of questions from the public regarding City Ordinances, Building Inspection process and procedures, ensuring effective communications between the Building Department and the public. Plan meetings, schedule inspections, record minutes, organize files; integrate existing construction related plans into digital format, recording permit and occupancy related data into spreadsheets and databases on a daily basis under supervision of the Building Inspector. Also serves to assist other departments as needed. Full-time position with salary starting at $13.00/hour DOQ. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or greater, and direct experience in Business Management, Building Technology, Information Technology or related field preferred.
